Totally feel this. The railings were awful - incomplete cuts meant loads of breakages and repairs. Fortunately I had some spare vines lying around to cover up the breaks.

The canopy framework was just as bad, ended up using more glue than MDF to get it all to hold together!

👍Great value (£27), pre‑painted pieces.
👎Fragile parts⚠️ and incomplete cuts required careful scalpel 🔪work.

Painted back in the 1990s using classic Humbrol enamel paints. The only upkeep they’ve had since then is fresh bases and a little touch‑up on the flocking.

It’s actually a Reaper Chronoscope Bones miniature called “The Black Mist”, and it looks very much inspired by The Shadow. In my games, though, he’s taken on a new identity: The Crimson Scarf!

Hit 5'9" at age 11 and thought I was locked in for a lifetime in the front row. Absolute certainty.

Then the growth stopped.
