An alienware laptop with Baldur's Gate 3 loading on the screen. The keyboard is mostly lit in blue, with the function keys set as a rainbow. The alien power button and light around the mousepad are purple

My new laptop arrived yesterday!! I spent most of the evening getting things set up and downloaded. It's sooo pretty! The alien is the start button, and you can change the colour of individual keys!! I love it so much ❤️‍🔥

also, the tech guy says he can back up my bg3 and stardew save files from the dead laptop, so that problem is solved too

Update:
-old laptop still wont turn on
-current laptop fan still hasnt arrived
-if the fix works, itll last 8ish more months
-tablet is glitchy, but works for yt vids

called my dad in tears to give updates. he offered to get a new one with inheritance from mum. it should arrive tues, thanx dad 😭😭😭

just remembered i have my mum's old tablet, which has some of its own issues too, but it turns on and the fan doesnt rattle the entire house. better than nothing, at least i can watch yt vids

doesnt even truly capture how loud it is. no programs open, fans on minimum, this is the sound i have to deal with. theres no fuckin way, i can barely hear myself think over this

yeah, im just gonna use my gaming laptop even tho it has fan issues. id rather run this thing into the ground, my mental illness is not playing around this week. i sat in silence for like 10 min and just started sobbing

oh shit... i just realized im a "background noise 24/7 so the mean thoughts are quiet" kind of girly, and now i dont have a computer which is my main source of silly goofy distractions. right at peak bad brain time. what could possibly go wrong??? 😬

guess who was a dumbass and forgot to turn on bg3 cross saves on that laptop, so if it's toast then i just lost 25+ hours of gameplay. im so upset. tech might not even be able to fix my gaming laptop, which means 2 broken ones and $2000 for a new one... fucking end me

my laptop just fully died. ive been using my old one since my current one is having major fan issues. but the old one doesnt have a battery, so if it gets unplugged for even a second it dies... well, now it's just dead even tho it's plugged in. & to add insult to injury, i couldnt save my game 😭

i played bg3 for 15 straight hours and now it's 8am... the disassociation is hittin real hard this week 🫠
