Damn, that sucks. Sorry that all happened to you. Don't know if this advice helps, but when I have a style crisis, what helped me is to remember to move forward for yourself and not anyone else. It's your art, you are in control. I believe you can improve and find more excuses to love arting.

Oh uh. Depth of Field. Basically far away objects become blurrier than objects closer to you, mimicking how your eyes or a camera lens would focus on things. The background looks blurrier from it being scaled down, giving it the same effect

Looks alright to me. In a way it gives a DOF kind-of effect and separates the sprites from the background

Don't think that the 2024 pile is slowing down. We still got left in the tank. Despite not sharing any new art last year I sketched A LOT. I'm not even planning on sharing absolutely everything because there are some sketches I'm already working on rendering.

Varlene Gale concepts. Two outfits, and her weaponry. The one with the long coat I'm dubbing her "Executioner" outfit. The other with the black dress I'm dubbing her "Black rose" outfit. With those names alone, you might be able to guess what kind of woman Gale is. She has ammo pouches on both outfits. She ties down her skirt to provide support while she does flips. Her sword sheathes to the side of her rifle, the "Winter Carbine." If that weren't enough, she is also capable of casting spells of destruction. She has tattoos of thorns on her left hand, a rose on her right bicep. She wears combat boots and gloves, rolls her sleeves up. She is elegant as she is deadly. Despite being called one of my more "prettier" characters, I have a designer's note reading; "if she doesn't scare you even a little, you drew her wrong."

Vira concepts, consisting of two shots of a messy rugged girl who wouldn't look out of place in a post-apocalyptic setting... or a punk band. She wears rifle-grenade bandoliers around her body, one of which has a shrunken skull alongside the grenades. Multiple angles of her broken up doll mask, which is also a gas mask, are shown here. Notably the one eye that represents her organization of the witches circle, a shadow government who often needs dangerous women like Vira. As torn up and battle-worn her outfit is, she has time to be girly. Her hair is tied up into messy ponytails, ribbons on her boots. Small echoes of the young girl lost in a chaotic world.

OH RIGHT. So I'm redoing a bunch of her older artwork that I think have really cool poses, but've gotten too old and I've gotten too good to share them (sarcasm). So if you are a long term Canora fan; firstly, I do not think you are real, but also keep your eyes out!
