Gullfoss, Iceland. Getting stuck on the tarmac for 4 hours and having a flight cancelled and crossing my fingers to get home tonight has me dreaming of the Golden Circle of yesterday versus the reality of the going in circles of today.

Reykjavík, Iceland. Away we go into our final 24 hours of this epic northern European tour. Country #59, starting with this iconic cathedral inspired by a cathedral we just saw in Copenhagen. Witnessing the global migration of thought, art, culture, etc -- it's one of the best parts of traveling!

Flåm, Norway. The fjords! No photo or video can do them justice. Glad for this quick scouting trip to be able to put a pin in it for a devoted longer trip later.

Bergen, Norway. Spring is here in my country #57! Feels good to be back in the mountain air for a bit, amidst the flowering trees and largest tulips I've ever seen.

Stockholm, Sweden. Our first opera (La bohème), and the stunning Royal Swedish Opera House! Totally mesmerizing evening. In country #56.

Vilnius, Lithuania. I am so glad that this is my 55th country to visit. A nomadic life has continuously reinforced my commitment to cosmopolitanism, but it's also given me the life experience to recognize a true gem when I see one. Best kept European secret. This one's going to be hard to leave.

Riga, Latvia. Welcoming the sun out my apartment window in my Country #54. What a perfectly glorious day to stroll the Saturday markets and flowering trees in the parks with local families. Love it here already.

Tallin, Estonia. My country #53. You're a delight. Thanks for the gorgeous views, relaxing saunas, tasty stout, and endless possibilities for joy around every medieval and modern corner!

Helsinki, Finland. The Oddi Library is the best (and busiest) library I've experienced anywhere in the world. Music studio rooms and instruments? Sewing machines and supplies? 3D printers? Cafe? And books books books. Amazing architecture and design. Cheers, Finland, my country #52!
