Honestly though, given the type of art we make and how goofed up our health can be, I'm fucking proud of us for making it work. It shouldn't be THIS hard, in a proper country, but alas.

LRP: I would be homeless without my parents and found family network helping us in emergencies. Echo and I are neurodivergent independent artists. We are able to pay all our bills with art money but we're poverty line as fuck up in here. 75% cost burdened by our mortgage on our crappy house lol

If you’re a working artist talking to other creatives I’m begging you to not hide this. I have a parter who makes more and I don’t hide that and try to be as open as I can especially one on one. It’s cruel to not be honest with your fellow artist and give them any kind of false hope or fear

I really like these guys because they're so plain and normal looking, especially with my color blind eyes that can't see the reddish tint that happens on some of their caps, but then they go and start bleeding when I pinch them!

"Colors have changed but the effects are the same," she mused pulling her hand back. Swiftly jogging down the pathway Rasha stepped through the first doorway to enter a thick forest. Its moss covered trees and thick bushes showed no visible trails. Listening carefully to the sounds of the forest, her eyes scanned the area. Crouched behind a thick bush, Rasha heard the whining of a young boy as he protested going any further. "Quit your whining and move on!" Jewellean's harsh words echoed throughout the forest. A scrawny boy tumbled into the thick woods, cracking many branches that sounded eerie in the still air. The boy jumped back, shaking nervously and glancing at Jewellean, his eyes shining with fear.

For some, perhaps. The temptation to lean hard on escapism affects many people, furry or not. For me furry is a modern take on the ancient fixation of anthropomorphism. Humans have been doing this since prehistory.
