I kinda wanna start writing again

Oh, forgot to mention. I got items working on both server and client.
May need to redo the strategy for updating items (right now items are global, I want them to be server updated but client rendered).

Working on buildings in the meantime

Fixed it all up. Items now spawn server authoritative. Gotta fix the client a bit since the client is trying to spawn some items.

6 hours later and now back to the same spot but with Netcode instead of mirror. Actually was easier to set up lol

Replaced Mirror with Netcode for GameObjects.

Just need to figure out serialization before I rewire everything

gRPC doesn't easily support what I want to do :(

I'll just switch to Netcode for GameObjects since it looks more developed than Mirror at this point

Man, FUCK mirror. Can't even send a damn message without running into issues with "authority" when ALL clients should have authority.

I'm switching to gRPC and rewriting simple sync scripts.

Found their roadmap. Looks like the app has improved a ton since I last looked at it. I think a year from now it'll have all the basic features I'm looking for (likely besides the whole timeline thing since that's their gimmick)

I grew up on Twitter streets.
The main reason I stuck around so long is
1) Japanese artists
2) I used to find people with similar interests really easily via the timeline.

#2 is starting to not be true, so blue sky is a great option now since I have the same issue here
