Been going back to old builds and finishing some extra equipment, scratching or cutting off any leftover nubmarks, etc. The glass files didn't work too well when I first built this Orbiter. This was the best I could do with some box cutters lol

I got to fix Bernie's arm and give him and Chris a happy ending, I should be able to do it again for this old grunt. Thank goodness Char's Zaku Revive doesn't seem to have any risky connections outside of the front skirts that pop out sometimes.

Now some might say that another lesson should have been to stop messing around with my kits. And I say to that... no u. I'mma pose these mfs as much as I like. What's the point of all the gimmicks and articulation they're being sold on otherwise? Just be gentle with 'em.

Lessons from breaking two of my older Zaku kits:

Take note of potential points of failure as you build.

Tight joints are not always a good thing.

Topcoat can tighten joints you don't tape up even further.

At least I can practice the brass rod method with this.

Dang I forgot I'd need lighter fluid or turpentine for oils. Only reason I tried using my panel liner as a wash is it's water-based and doesn't take much to wipe off. I might try dry brushing first. I don't wanna mess with even more dangerous chemicals because I live with other people atm lol

Yeah, I realized sanding vertically would've made this look better. But I still wouldn't repeat this using panel lining ink though. It uses up too much that just gets wiped away lol. I still got a ton of kits to panel line. Any recommendations for washes that'll work well with the Super Clear matte?
