Hi Parry, finally got onto Bluesky. Great to see you here! Wish I could convince more of my other friends to switch over. I read the book Careless People about Facebook and it's frightening. I'd like to get off.

I just turned off following + muted the account, so hopefully that calms it down. Sheesh.

It's a little annoying that most of my feed on Bluesky is Bluesky ads. Lots and lots of them. Good grief.

Maybe they're just escaping?

I just finished reading the book "Careless People" about Facebook, how it came to power, how it helped win the 2016 election for Trump, and some of its less than savory business practices. It's written by a former high-up Facebook employee and is a riveting must-read book. Scary stuff.

There are other avenues, so I haven't found it hard to spend my funds elsewhere. It does feel good. :)
