I love the atmosphere in Nightshade - like a weird, goofy noir adventure. Beam Software/Melbourne House have a super interesting library, great Australian devs! I'll always consider Transformers on the PS2 to be one of the most underrated games on the console.

One more video for 2025! This one is all about Top Gear Rally, one of my favourite games for the Nintendo 64.

It's a physics-heavy rally title from early in the console's life that is punishing to start, but very rewarding when you give it a chance.

I've tried (and failed) for years to make a video about why I loved Arcanum so much. This is very inspiring, 2026 may finally be the year!

Damn my recent video was all about the VHS tape that came with that issue of MMS. I did a double-take when I saw the cover again in the photo here!

I remember playing the Mega Drive version on a demo unit at the shops (maybe at World 4 Kids?) for a few minutes and loving it. Played it years later and liked it a lot less - this game seems closer to what I had initially remembered that version as!

I'm thinking that it may just not be appropriate for smaller channels like mine to use it. It's disappointing, as the drop-off since I started using them this year has been massive. I try not to get hung up on 'views', but it was nice to see my videos getting served to a wider audience last year.

I'm curious whether other #YouTube creators think of the built-in thumbnail A/B testing tool. I've used it for all my videos this year - not only does it end 'without a conclusive result', but overall video visibility over time seems to take a massive hit resulting in much lower view counts

I'm testing a few thumbnails this time, trying to break my usual mould. I feel like I unintentionally channeled Dankpods with this one 🙃

Sonic Blast on Game Gear wanted to be handheld Sonic & Knuckles with pre-rendered graphics, but it was not to be.

Awkward level design and physics, mixed with an art style that was rough to say the least!
