A vote for upholding of the suspension of ISS will also resonate with the overwhelming support in the world for the end of war crimes and apartheid in Palestine. It will also encourage other academic and professional associations to take a similar stance [4/8]

GS4P strongly believes that upholding the suspension is critical: it will reaffirm that international academic associations cannot remain complicit in war crimes. ISS should be held accountable for its institutional silence and complicity in the genocide to date [3/8]

We believe that ISA’s decision was not only historic but also necessary to affirm its credibility as a truly global intellectual community. By upholding the call for accountability, ISA has shown that it takes seriously its responsibility to stand against colonial violence, apartheid, and genocide.

All these signatures serve as a testament to the depth of support among sociologists worldwide for principled action against academic complicity in structures of oppression.

Instead of objecting to the ISS’s suspension, we expect DGS to be concerned about Germany’s full support of Israeli brutality and say something against this shameless German complicity in the greatest genocide of the 21st century.
