it's a unique kind of awkwardness that sucks cause it's like.. you ARE close! just on different wavelengths about what that means. I also thing what a 'best friend' is varies so much from person to person

every month i think 'i will get over my fear of posting publicly' and drop some art and then not post again for another month

all this said to basically flop around like a worm. i miss seeing updates from people i know or know of in a casual context. i miss people. but social media has always been hard for me to engage with

i get that the community here is less randomly antagonistic but man I wanna be able to post an opinion and risk some stranger ripping into me for it like I posted it specifically for them and forgot to @ them

i just really feel like I won't shift over here until i either start trying to actively maintain an art account again or it's possible to have private accounts :/ i just wanna post about my thoughts or my life w/o that being privy to Literal Everyone

making peach jam today since it's peak season here and fondly remembering these peach cookies i made last year... they have a center of peach jam surrounded by lemon cream cheese and are dyed with peach syrup

this is 100% my main hesitation too lol

I made a caramel apple pie and gave half to my parents [ so I wouldn't eat an entire pie ] but man. i totally could. it's so good
