Conservatives are not America, maybe about 1/3. Media saturation is going to be a problem. Especially for political news. Is CBS competing with Fox News?

Conservatives aren't funny, the aren't entertaining, they are just anger and hate. You can only saturate the market so much with that.

The thing about conservative media is they have one lane: own the libs. Hate.

Otherwise their content is garbage. Bari Weiss is a bad writer. I've been reading conservative media my entire life and its just bad. The National Review tried to put some polish, but the writers were just boring.

The whole Bari Weiss thing is more shadow boxing over hallucinations. Matt Taibi and others have been "center" or "left" when taking conservative money just for criticizing the left for years now. Same with Glen Greenwald. They then go on Fox News or other conservative sites as the "liberal".

Conservative media headlines

Today they are saying that the takeover of CBS by David Ellison is "center". Ellison is a hardcore Trump and Israel supporter. I'd hate to know what right means to them.

This is inline though with them saying they are America now instead of conservative.

Maybe its just me being neurodivergent, but what's up with the conservatives constantly trying to red pill Taylor Swift for years now?

Seriously, we require teachers to be certified and licensed. We should demand the same for elected officials and for the same reasons.

They have professional juries in the UK. We should set up elected official academies like West Point and demand professional elected officials. Preferably graduate level.

And for the love of all humanity, if we ever get to re-nationalizing can we please put skill, education and other merit requirements on all elected officials? No more morons.

You'd still need a new meta organization to manage the meta constitution. A United States of Nations. One task, re-nationalization laws.

The starting point to fixing the US is a new meta constitution that limits size to 10 million and splits the US into 30 countries.

10 million is used because the highest functioning Democracies today are on the order of 10 million people.

This is how to scale Democracy. Split at 10 million.

When the US gets to 435 million population then each representative will rep 1 million people. Complete absurdity.

If we went back to 30k per representative with 300 million people, then that's 10k reps. Complete absurdity.

No one body can rep 300 million.

Since mesh nodes require the least external resources possible, then they put the least demands on hierarchy possible, thus supporting hierarchy. And eventually making a hierarchy obsolete.

Good news, mesh society is designed and ready to go.

Even better news, mesh society supports democracy. The more mesh society is adopted, the better hierarchy functions.

Mesh nodes are self-sustaining, survival units of the smallest external dependency possible.

We need mesh society. Mesh society is designed to scale infinitely in time and space. Democracy built on hierarchy is not.

Rewriting the US Condtituon won't fix things, and not just because we elect morons. Hierarchy doesn't scale. At some level of scale people become invisible and the hierarchy only functions for a small set.

We are fighting for lifeboat seats.

Waj is on point saying greed and racism are America's two evils it won't give up. But they are not the root cause of the collapse of the US. Failure to scale is. Our human network systems don't function at our level of population size and financial size.

Bluesky is going to fail because hierarchy doesn't scale. It will devolve into another faceless corporation at a certain level of financial concentration of power and money at the top. They all do.

We occasionally talk about scale by eliminating the Electorial College. But the scientific rigor put into that scale design is the same as deciding 435 reps: none.

We have acknowledged scale once at the Constituional level. We changed representation from 1 rep per 30k to 435 reps fixed. Why? Some lofty scale design? No. The building in DC only holds 435.

The US economy went viral after WWII. We became the richest country quickly. Our political systems couldn't handle the viral growth scale. Even worse, we didn't even acknowledge scale as a concept to be managed. Perhaps even an entire rewrite of the Constituion was needed. We'll never know.

Netscape was the most prominent early viral Web company scale failure. A retrospective of its failure noted that a company's culture can't sustain rapid growth that doubles head count in a few months. The company literally falls apart from within.

Silicon Valley has a mocking analysis of scale failure: your success becomes your failure.

This just means you went viral and your systems can't handle the scale of rapid growth. This scale applies both to the product and the company.

In theory we have really weak tea anti-trust laws to break up dysfunctional monopolies. But they are rarely used. Microsoft wasn't broken up in the late 90s.

We have a few moments of awareness of scale in society. We all know large companies can't innovate, too repressive. So we need start ups. Large companies destroy competitors and reduce competition.

Hierarchy doesn't scale. Democracy is hierarchy. It doesn't scale. Corruption prevails because increasing amounts of money and power are focused on the same small number, or even just 1, at the top.

Humans are weird. When it comes to computer networks we know what works at 10 needs new design at 100. Yet with human networks we scale from 10 million to 100 million and don't even have scale conversations. Scale is not thought about at all .
