From darkness, a gasp. Viktor lays on the snow, breathing heavily, having just come back into existance in the middle of a blizzard. As he sits up, blood drips from his forehead onto the snow. He touches the wound and examines it with a tired, detached expression.

Viktor grabs his cane and gets up with difficulty. There are a myriad of thoughts that don't fully connect in the state he is in. He is cold. He is regretful. He has to find Jayc- As he looks up to take in the surroundings, he sees nothing but snow and mountains as the blizzard rages on. He is alone. After a moment of despair, the acceptance. ''Ah... Of course''

Viktor kneels, defeated, thoughts still not fully connecting, or maybe being kept at an arms distance. (It is what you deserve it is what you deserve it is wh) He is hunched from the cold. He closes his eyes in acceptance. He hears Jayce call his name. Viktor snaps up, surprised. Jayce is also here.

Viktor sees Jayce's silhouette in the distance, he hastily gets up, reaches for him and finally calls back.

Rereading 'The line is covered in Jellyfish' by @staroverlord.bsky.social while waiting for the next chapter, and I always think about how the first scene could have gone for Viktor.

I imagine with a sort of detached, sad acceptance of the fact that he is alone... until he isn't.🖤
