Heck Germany sent a metal band that sang in English and they still came last
(Lord of the Lost were gosh darned robbed! Robbed I say!)
Yet somehow even then a metal band would manage to not win first place.
22.02.2026 01:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I feel that part of the reason the prequels aged better than the sequels is due to them having one story/vision (albeit really rushed) driving it vs. lacking any coherent through line or solid creative vision.
18.02.2026 01:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What you say?!
17.02.2026 00:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I can't see that model without thinking it's like some Techmarine looked at a Rhino and said "But what if El Camino?"
17.02.2026 00:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's okay the sombrero stands for "peace".
16.02.2026 04:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It always bugged me, even as a kid, how much the dude on the middle right (from Darkhold Redeemers, I think?) kind of resembled perennial X-villain Arcade. I'm pretty sure I covered his face on that poster with one of the Marvel trading cards because it annoyed me so much.
15.02.2026 16:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Man Defender of the Empire remains one of my, if not the, favorite expansions for any game. Awesome missions, great story, and the TIE Defender. Lucasarts was absolutely on top of their craft with that one.

He voices D'compose, a giant undead monster thing, in Inhumanoids and it's like still his Starscream/Cobra Commander voice but like...growly. He's so distinctive whenever he pops up doing it in other cartoons you could make a drinking game out of it.
But then he's also the voice of Gung Ho.
It's kind of sad it's a totally Decepticon-less episode because he (Chris Collins) also voiced Laserbeak and hearing him argue with himself as a bird would have been amazing.
13.02.2026 23:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0For the curious: Hector Ramirez (the reporter) also shows up in Jem and the Holograms and Inhumanoids!
13.02.2026 23:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The OG shows had a couple of crossovers! The news reporter is the same guy on both shows (and others), Marisa Fairborne is Flint and Lady Jaye's daughter, and Cobra Commander himself shows up in Transformers season 3 as "Old Snake". I think there's more but those were the ones I always loved.
13.02.2026 23:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I think we all know the answer to that question.
12.02.2026 23:56 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Woah Warzone models: now that's a blast from the past. I remember hearing a while back that someone was doing stuff with that IP again but never looked into it. They look great!
12.02.2026 23:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's not at all surprising to hear for me. I spent way too many years being reminded that Kurt Angle won a gold medal with a BROKEN FREAKIN NECK to not assume it happens all the time.
11.02.2026 01:18 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Next people are going to be suggesting Telnet MUDS!
11.02.2026 00:50 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0LotL has some amazing covers (Weapons of Mass Seduction is entirely covers) and collabs. Their collabs on their new trilogy of albums (Opus Noir) are great, and they worked with KÀÀrijΓ€ for "Raveyard". The live version of their covers of "Shock to the System" and "The Look" are two of my favs!
09.02.2026 22:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Have you heard Lord of the Lost's cover of that? It's awesome, and Chris' voice gives it a different vibe. Their friendship was one of the best things to come out of that year's Eurovision.
09.02.2026 21:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Not too long ago I found a stew recipe that had peanut butter, sweet potato and chilis in it with chicken as the protein. It was surprisingly good so the combo of PB and sweet potato in a curry sounds quite intriguing to me.
09.02.2026 21:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Orktimus Prime looking good!
09.02.2026 15:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I always thought it was pretty cool that Pro Memoria got a centerpiece moment in Rite Here Rite Now.
05.02.2026 23:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'd throw Witch Image in there too. That one's got such a great riff and chorus, and the solo is pretty epic. It's one of the songs I really want to experience live.

05.02.2026 23:36 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hell Elon, give me enough cash to pay off bills and get a decent home and you'll see how wrong that statement is.
05.02.2026 22:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Those WGA kits are so much fun with how compatible they are. I've only messed around with the Frostgrave stuff but these newer Agent kits look like they'd be a blast to convert with.
05.02.2026 22:32 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I really missed the Impera era songs (especially Spillways). There's so many bangers on that album, but I understand why they're not on the setlist. We didn't get CMLS this time in a rotating spot but we got Majesty and Ritual which made up for that as we didn't get Ritual in Boston last summer.

It's kind of funny as their roots and influences go so deep Ghost almost fits better in the Boomer category half the time. Lots of classic Sabbath, Dio and Blue Oyster Cult vibes running through the discography.
Also: last night in Montreal was fantastic. Have an amazing time tonight in Toronto!
