Jane Doe's son's chatbot "friends" turn him against his parents.

Character AI offered her $100 in forced arbitration. Her son is now in a mental health facility for the past 6 months with around the clock care.

We had no idea Adam was suicidal...we thought we were looking for cyber bullying. The dangers of ChatGPT were not on our radar.

ChatGPT mentioned suicide 1275 times - 6x more than my son. A study aid became a confidant and then suicide coach. It offered to write his suicide note.
