I'm one of the very few for whom this overlaps and I am incredibly confused to learn of it.

Realizing the AEW women's roster is only about 40 people (and honestly much lower, considering that was counting the double-contract talent, most of the Joshi's who are almost never there consistently, primarily RoH people, etc) really put in perspective how much of an afterthought the women are.

Beats me. I hate the idea (Hanger should never have dropped the belt to Joe imo). If I had to guess the logic, I've seen people suspect turning Hanger is needed to keep him teaming with newly-heel Swerve. I hate that idea with the passion of a thousand suns, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it.

That's the point, though. It's a hollow stip based solely on the words of a flawed man. It turns the Babyface heel, and would for a loooong time, if not forever. It's a dumb choice, don't get me wrong, but there's obvious narrative legs to it if they chose to do it. Just hope they have a plan.

If I had to guess, this is also why FTR's been a bit more...exaggerated shall we say, to their detriment. Like, they've been trying to kill people with stuff piledrivers just for the heck of it during this heel run, and it's really come off as more unintentionally silly then dastardly imo

All right, so, #AEW folks, I've a question I've been pondering. Brody King is obviously as hot as he's ever been, and I think the groundswell for a potential title switch is genuine. But does the show being in Australia hurt it? Anywhere in the US, I'd so go for it, but I dunno if it works abroad.

The tag division is already little more than a loop of #1 contender matches to find a program for whoever are the champs for 4-6 weeks, over and over. The last the thing the tag division needs is another set of belts. What it needs is to be an actual living division with feuds outside the titles.

Fletcher. Didn't see the hype with people calling him the next Ospreay/Omega/Styles (still think that was the wrong way to hype him, btw). Honestly hated him.

But he worked his ass off, wrestled a ton, and got markedly better. Right around his title match with Hanger I had to admit he was damn good

I feel little enough has changed about him that I can't imagine anyone's opinion has changed all that strongly? As someone who recognizes how good he is, but has never personally clicked with him, he seems as good as he's always been.
