You'd need to ask him.
I don't know what motivated him to do what he did in office. He doesn't have a track record of putting his name on buildings, defrauding charities, and decorating with gold knick nacks.

Antipartisan. Data over Opinions. Sometimes sarcastic. Twitter ex-pat with the same handle & prolly the same snark. π

Do you genuinely not know how money works?
Trump in particular is motivated by greed. He wouldn't bother sending money to Israel if it didn't benefit him. There's no unkilling the dead, but funding genocide ensures it continues. That's what's happening.
Yep. And the American people continued on like any normal day. No refusing to work, no nationwide boycotts. The anti-elon folks at least damaged some Teslas.
Everyone just continued buying new iPhones and drinking their coffees, and they wonder why nothing changed.
Maybe. It's speculation to say she was, speculation to say she wasn't.
I do my best to navigate using data. I'm generally not interested in speculation & conspiracy theory. The reality is President Trump & his agenda.
Not that it's relevant to this discussion, but I do have that plan in place.
As this country increasingly shows signs of systemic collapse, only a fool would remain unprepared. We've already been foolish enough with our elections.
I did not say love it or leave it. That is a lie.
You don't get to claim you're anti-genocide while continuing to contribute to genocide. Your moral high ground is a thin facade.
There is no "like me". That's what you're not getting.
I have never stated that Harris was anti-genocide. There was no viable anti-genocide candidate in 2024. There was genocide or genocide with a side of Project 2025.
Your projection is a powerful force.
If burying your head in the sand is what lets you sleep at night, then continue doing what's convenient.
"We're funding it to this day."
"We" includes me, doesn't it?
"What have you accomplished? Tell slain families how you stayed home to oppose their murder; I'm sure they're glad you helped."
What here is me talking about my vote? I'm no bastion of your silly morality; my point was you aren't either.
I do. And that's why I have respect for anyone who leaves America to make a better life in a country that aligns with their beliefs.
Sitting here contributing to the problem while pretending they have some "morality" badge is nonsense. We all have the same blood on our hands.
That is a lie. I have never once made the argument about moral anything. This was never an argument of morality. I have said repeatedly that America was never going to elect an anti-genocide candidate.
Anyone who thought otherwise was duped into electing the current regime.
Yes, I'm definitely seeing people are not smart enough to read words. They feel the need to add what wasn't said.
It's scary that they're encouraged to vote. It's little wonder that the country is careening with those hands on the wheel.
Another swing and miss. Nothing here says I made some virtuous or correct choice.
You people pound your chests about your non-votes. Anyone still living in America, paying taxes to fund Israel & buying goods that generate taxes to fund US support of Israel, continue funding the genocide.
So I did not in fact indicate that I voted for the correct or virtuous candidate here.
Swiing and a miss, muffin.
"Feel free to show one single post where I said any of that."
No one has provided this, because it doesn't exist.
So not even one?
Thanks for clarifying.
Feel free to show one single post where I said any of that.
Strawman denied.
Yes. They need to be removed as well. Jeffries and his AIPAC funding especially.
I already posted about them and got put on moderation lists on this hellsite. Everyone's angry but no one's offering solutions.
I'll remind you again that I'm not the one virtue signaling about how my vote was some moral decision.
You can remain proud that you threw away your vote. But you will always be a part of the element that gave America what we're gong through now.
Did letting Trump win the election oppose the genocide? We're funding it to this day.
What have you accomplished? Tell slain families how you stayed home to oppose their murder; I'm sure they're glad you helped.
You quote-tweeted me. π€·ββοΈ
You can leave the country and move to one that isn't funding Israel if you really feel the guilt you're virtue signaling. Or maybe that's too inconvenient. Whatever helps you to sleep at night. I'm sure the dead appreciate your bold vote.
If you live in America, paying taxes that fund Israel, buying goods from American companies that in turn funds Israel, then you're every bit as complicit in funding what the country is doing.
Vote with your wallet. Otherwise, any moral high ground is a facade from people lying to themselves.
I tried third party in '16, before we knew how bad Trump would be. I wasn't undecided on which was worse for the country by '24.
You have more hope for people than I do. I'm a cynic who believes our systems are too entrenched to improve without a lot of effort. Maybe bloodshed was all we ever knew.
You'd have better luck going back and finding me tacitly in support of the anti-genocide protestors during the primaries, but with the caveat that they should get it out of their systems in time for the general election.
I was wrong, ofc. The party did throw away the incumbency advantage.
Being before I was born, I wasn't there to know...
But I don't imagine German elections mattered much once the Nazi party had control of Germany. Could they just have voted Hitler out of office?
The ones who hid people like Anne Frank's family while keeping their heads down to avoid being shot in the streets?
Iunno, what do you call them?
Well, just know that if Americans weren't busy arming themselves against home invasions & street executions, you'd have more allies in your fight.
Instead, we have our own political unrest to deal with. I guess that's better?
I think I do understand "why" this is their line in the sand.
What I don't think those people understand is that they didn't improve anything by not voting. Instead we've added distractions so people like me can't support their opposition to our foreign policy because there're more pressing issues.
I spoke out about Obama's drone strikes, but yes, as a rule it's difficult to object to things you don't yet know happened.
I was never politically active before around 2015. I focused solely on the day to day: work, friends, bills, food, rent. Maybe I'm naive to think that's how life should be.
I wasn't active on this platform at that time, so my posts on the topic aren't here.
The new owner of Twitter/X has broken their search functionality, so I'm not immediately able to bring screenshots to prove what I did say about Gaza. And frankly, I don't think I need to prove anything here.
