I’ve just started being a DM for a small kid friendly DnD. My husband, a big fan of homestar runner, has named his character Rather Dashing, who’s backstory very much involves #trogdortheburninator.

They still don’t know realize I’m recreating Galaxy Quest in DnD format.

Just an update: kiddos are on the mend. Oldest is back to school tomorrow. Littlest is eh. She’s on meds and doing better, but still has a wet cough.

Now it’s time for me to feel like death.

For the record, I have no voice.

different things to celebrate.

I’m just struck at how different at times. Now, I’m going to go and hug my boy close and smoosh my baby girl and celebrate what else they have in store for me today. 🥰🥲

We celebrated the first time he said momma again.

My daughter has been creating full sentences for a few months now.

We’ve been celebrating her expression of emotions lately.

Before it gets called a comparison: there is none. These kids are amazing and unique and brilliant.

We got it done in 25, just him and me.

As I was showering off the hair, I remembered him at the current age of my daughter (just shy of 2, she has no symptoms of any sort of sensory disorder).

He had regressed all of his words. He had stories in his mind that couldn’t escape for another year.

I didn’t realize how much of a difference sensory disorders make on development until I just sat down to celebrate my son allowing me alone to cut his hair, including using a buzzer.

He’s 5.

Due to his SPD, it usually is 1.5 hours from start to finish, with my hubby to try and distract.

It absolutely does not invalidate you. ❤️ that isn’t fair.
