I want to do a podcast badly but I think it’s because I’m in love with the sound of my own voice. It’s a good one. I have been mistaken for automatic answering machines while working and I’ve been told my speaking voice is very soothing.

This man really just sat in front of this gorgeous Black woman and said that “Blacks need fewer antigens” because “that have stronger immune systems.”

Again, not surprised for the racism but disappointed that we still have to have these basic discussions

Sleep is eluding me again but I’m getting a great idea for a novel. (Novella? Short story? Novel series?) It might have been done before but it hasn’t been done BY ME before! Glad I wrote things down this time.

Today, my therapist asked me today what would I be missing out on if a certain someone was no longer part of my life and I didn’t even have an answer. I just sat back, flabbergasted. Never even crossed my mind before. Whew, chile! #blacksky

If there was any doubt about how the people feel about the internet’s current favorite cousin Luigi, it really looks like the other inmates got him together before his big transfer. Fresh lining and eyebrows? The prison dolls saw the supermodel and got to work!

I’m the auntie that buys the kids books featuring other Black kids for Christmas. Then, will ask them what the books are about a day or two later.

And I will absolutely have an attitude if they don’t know!

Things have been shifting so much since my diagnosis. I don’t have the capacity to handle everything but I do miss the feeling of belonging I used to have at work. I feel like a huge outsider now and it hurts. #ChronicIllness
