Sharing OCs takes courage, I think.

Like, hey here’s this lil guy I made in my head - why should anyone care when the world is already full of characters like Batman, Mario, etc?

But at the same time, you do it coz at least to you, your blorbo is just as impressive (or more) than Batman et al.

It is, but lately I’ve struggled to draw something great as I keep overthinking things. I’ve decided to turn my brain off and just draw whatever seems nice, even if it doesn’t come out amazing 😅

I’ll be honest, haven’t been feeling good lately. Kinda depressed, really, and it hasn’t gotten much better.

I usually post art more than my thoughts, but I have been losing my driving to make those too.

Well my feed has slowly improved over time, but my own posts feel empty there at this point.

I guess maybe my constant need to draw (and doing it only one way) is actually inhibiting me since I’ve dug my own rut lol

I feel I hit skill ceilings often to the point where more practice isn’t enough and I’d have to try something new/different but I don’t know what sometimes.

Hardly anyone addresses that heh, it’s very often “practice, practice!” Lately I found more art methods to try

You and I both. I get 3 days off, but I end up just wasting half of that time xD

But really, it comes down to not knowing what exactly I want to draw haha! Otherwise, I would go all in~

As much as I don’t do anything (or have much reason to) with my deviantart account anymore, still good to be able to look back on it occasionally as it was a big part of my life. Memories and all that.

Looking back, I just miss the friends I made there and plenty of other great artists.
