Ramadan/birthday ma'amoul cookies for a friend. Rose water is surprisingly hard to find but I prevailed. I combined date and pistachio paste for the filling, which turned out great.

I made this the other night while procrastinating, mainly because I thought all the posts about the blackout were boring. It feels like there is momentum bringing people together!

I bound this book from scratch at Matsuda Bookbinding Works in Kyoto this past summer, I'm finally drawing in it for the first time 🥹 I've been so scared to mark it because it's so beautiful lol, and I wasn't sure what to use it for!!
