There’s too much “you can’t use Claude because it is against the terms of service and opens a dangerous can of worms” and not enough “you can’t use Claude because that’s idiotic you might as well use a magic 8 ball”

Being retired is amazing. Sadly I have 3 school age kids so I still have to get up an hour early to get them to going. I was in the army for 20 years and gained the ability to sleep two or three hours and be fully functional for a couple days in a row. Then it’s complete failure time lol

My favorite thing about daylight savings is the fact that car accidents heart attacks and domestic violence rates soar during the following week. Oh and deer/vehicle accidents triple in the Midwest states.

It’s cool that this generation gets to find out the answer to “what would you have done when we started interning the Japanese?” and “what would you have done when we invaded Vietnam?” and “what would you have done in Watergate?” all at the same time.

Second-campist American leftists are insanely gullible. Completely unable to see AI slop.

They're the mirror image of gullible MAGA imperialists.

I still see people sharing that obvious fake "US bombed F4 drawings" pic, where the planes are bigger than the buildings. Insane.

Yes, in USDA data "farmer" means "farm operator" (a business owner) not "farm laborer" (a hired worker). There is a sleight of hand used in advocacy: when writers want farmers to sound poor and in need of support, they quote income statistics for all farmers (many of which are small),... (1/2)

Strong reminder: women have not been independent for as long as some folks would like you to believe. We’ve lost rights that we never should have lost.

What I despise most about Trump and MAGA, is how they’ve made me into such a bitter person, who relishes bad news and taking joy in their misery of higher unemployment & prices.

IMO, they won’t stop supporting Trump, until they lose everything: their jobs, their homes, their lifestyle…

Imagine if films were reviewed the way folks review TTRPG adventures.

"The movie's 124 minutes, 5 minutes is credits and 1 minute is an intro, so 118 minutes of movie. There are plenty of characters in there. At the 47 minute mark there's a bird"
