The Goldcrop winter barley plots have filled out well. Sown a little earlier than usual, they are making good use of the N left by the previous spring beans. It’ll be interesting to see what the combination of a long growing season and the rotation will deliver 🌾

This cool benign weather is a great opportunity for completing spraying. Tower herbicide & Lambda insecticide being applied to the @Goldcrop Wheat & Rye trials. Ground travelling well and so much better than last year! @AdamaAgri 🌾🌞🌾

I tried out some of this All-in-One algae remover a week ago. I applied it to the RHS of the shed pictured. I’m v impressed with how it worked here & on other areas. The algae is completely dead. Previously, we used Sodium Hypochlorite but I’ll be sticking with this from now on👌

RGT Hexton winter wheat making an appearance. Sown after late April sown beans.

It’s good to be holding the rotation in place and getting back to having crops in at desired sowing date.

The Goldcrop winter barley plots are thriving. Sown “early” on the 3rd Oct. One could be forgiven for thinking they were entering stem extension but dissection confirms otherwise. The mild conditions appear to have resulted in quite long leaves which when rolled up almost look like a stem.
