I'm also in the camp that there are certain regions I was way more invested lore wise, like Sumeru and Liyue, just because of how they conducted the story telling.

if i was to recommend a guy, Kryand's lore theory is also along the same lines of what my running interpretation of the story is so far and cuts through the fluff where it matters.

don't feel bad, it's soft science fiction in high fantasy jacketing. the writers bury so much in basically multiple novels of text and somehow expect you to be able to remember it all.

i watch a lot of lore theorist videos just to see the people who do piece together the relevant stuff

I'm 182/615 pages of Red Dragon actually, so I'm allowed to pick another book off my literal TBR pile when I hit page 200.

Yesterday it was "wrote 50 words of wtmg fanfic while on my shift during the staff meeting, so I can brainstorm fic ideas for ntmg week"

new ADHD mitigation strat to fix my attention span / read more books / do more tasks so I don't feel like I'm not doing enough:

- let myself read multiple books at once, but I'm allowed to start the new one now I'm at the 170 page mark of my current book
- not being mad at myself for becoming bored
