So Powell has gone from denying that Labour did lie and smear the Green Party during the by-election over drug policy to saying now that she didn't approve of it.
Its like they cant stop lying whilst producing receipts in real time.
Keir Starmer didn't believe in his own pledges, but then he gives the impression that he doesn't believe in much at all.

The blatant Islamophobia that Keir Starmer is demonstrating through smearing Mothin Ali would be shocking - but it's becoming a pattern.
Smearing a caring man of principle for standing up for peace.
I see some people asking whether Scotland can act, because aviation & defence are reserved.
Yes, but I'm talking specifically about infrastructure owned by the Scottish Government.
They are not MOD assets; they operate commercially, and we simply don't need to accept Trump's forces as customers.
Yvette Cooper (who backed the Iraq War) is asked what lessons we've learnt from Iraq
Cooper: ".. this threat from Iranian nuclear weapons"
Among other things Chilcot found the govt deliberately exaggerated the threat as a pretext for war
The govt are doing it all over again
The fact our economy can still be rocked by oil prices is the results of decades of policy failure. Policy failure that Starmer (and John Swinney in Scotland) has doubled down on.
All working people are worse off for it.
Six years ago, his principles were entirely different.

Must be a Labour government

So did the $1 Billion Board of Peace membership fee come with a money-back guarantee?
Asking for several Gulf monarchies.
@zackpolanski.bsky.social : The US & Israel attack is illegal and unprovoked, the defence secretary & the govt won't condemn it, we have a PM who is incapable of standing up to Trump, and the worry is that we'll be pulled into another illegal war.
Spot on.
Looks like the Strait of Hormuz is now closed, buggering up the global economy for a bit. I really don't understand why people of all parties don't get that cutting our dependence on fossil fuels is A Good Thing for so many reasons.

Confused about Green Party drug policy? Here's a good overview.
Asusual, Greens are leading on the way, having the difficult conversations and proposing serious policies that will save people's lives and reduce crime.
A man who called us extremists yesterday for wanting to bring down people bills is helping bomb schools today.

This is absolutely what will happen; the full power of the establishment will be turned on the Green Party. Every newspaper, every TV channel, every social media algorithm. The whole lot will be focused on discrediting the Green Party.

The Greens didnβt just surge, they won.
Voters chose real change over lesser-of-two-evils politics.
Britain is multi-party, but our voting system still isnβt.
Under FPTP, outcomes can swing wildly.
More choice is good.
Our system should reflect it.
Itβs time for Proportional Representation.
After winning narrowly in Runcorn last year, this time around Reform tasted the bitter wine of narrow defeat.
Greens got 41% of the vote #BBC, Reform got 29%. I wouldnβt call that a narrow defeat.

I really canβt imagine Reform would be getting such a post-victory grilling for their messages of hate
Can't wait for Hannah Spencer to arrive at the House of Commons, shake her head and say, "Who's done this then? It's a right cowboy job" and offer to fix it "for a drink."
