Exactly this. Seemed like an obvious win when they remastered the first one and it did so well. Massive missed opportunity on Nintendo's part.

Call of Duty is a very different audience. The majority are buying in for the online multiplayer. The singleplayer story campaign is often treated as a bonus. There have even been CoDs with no campaign. Metroid Prime is entirely an offline singleplayer campaign. You're comparing apples and oranges.

Dread had the benefit of not having a big old 5 right on the cover. Your average consumer is going to hesitate on seeing Metroid Prime 4 because they haven't played 1 to 3.

And they're on the wall!

Right? Just going to mean a really inconsistent experience for people. At best, we might get Prime 2 on GameCube NSO. 😞

Needs be, I have Prime Trilogy on Wii and can play that to get caught up, but most of their audience can't do that.

I don't think erased is achievable. They can make it as easily available and affordable as they like (and they should), but licensing issues, socio-economic barriers and just plain old self-centred sense of entitlement means there will always be people who genuinely can't or simply won't pay.

Viz seem to have the right idea. Their apps (Viz Manga and Shonen Jump respectively) charge a low monthly fee for all-you-can-read manga. Much like when Netflix first arrived, a good, affordable, convenient legal option sliced the piracy rates of titles included in those apps.

Yesterday we happened upon an elderly man walking his pet giant tortoise. They stopped for a snack and let me take a photo.

Guess whose cold got worse? Whatever bug I presumably picked up at the convention has only gotten worse since. I can barely look at a screen, head screaming, breathing solely through my mouth and every joint hurts.

Taken the day off work. Probably going straight back to bed.

Some things to bear in mind:

- You tend to cover 90 hour RPGs
- You're not full-time, you have other commitments
- Quality over quantity, your videos are always worth waiting for
- I've yet to meet a creative who doesn't have Impostor Syndrome
