The Devil is known as the "father of lies," and we are treated to such lies every day from the seats of power and media empires aligned with them. The Prophets recognized the way powerful pervert the truth and called it out forcefully. We need such prophets to rain curses down on them today.

The 5 of Wands can be either be about conflict or collaboration. Competition or cooperation. And sometimes, choreography! What do you see in this card?

3/3 Except right now, at least from my POV, half the country sees a friendly dog when the other half sees a vicious wolf on the loose. And that all of us seem to be lost in the darkness of projections, with the sunrise feeling very far away. But the sun always rises.

2/3 One meaning of the card is how we project our fears of a wolf onto the shape of a dog when we can't see so clearly in the darkness. Or we project our hopes that we're seeing a friendly dog instead of a hungry wolf. Only in the light do our projections collapse into the reality before our eyes.

This teaching from the Talmud is often studied during the week when we read about the story of the plague of darkness in Exodus. And it reminded me both of The Moon card and the situation we find ourselves in today. Continued in the comments...

This card is often read as acting without full attention — leaping before looking. The Buddhist in me wants to rewrite this accompanying quote to read: “Live with full attention. Act without hesitation. Dwell not on outcome or reward.” That’s the best version of this card in my view.
