'Have Mercy' came from a book my niece gave to me about grieving shortly after mom passed. The very first page had Psalm 6 2-3 and as soon as I read it I knew I need to put the words to music. It wasn’t until a couple days later that I realized it needed to be the into to 'Nobody’s Home'.

Have Mercy/Nobody’s Home was written in 2 parts. I wrote 'Nobody’s Home' at a time my mom was going through hospice. She had gone to her room to take a nap and I started to look around the house and think about how things were going to change once she was gone.
