I now understand why I rejected so much in my 30s.

I have been listening to podcasts about the roots of the Word of Faith movement. It is hair raising stuff. Also been learning about the New Apostolic Renewal/Reformation in the USA. It is a disgrace that patients are being treated like this. If you get a private dx, it is not recognised by the NHS - even when it is a psychiatrist working private & the NHS. If you are diagnosed overseas, no dice. What a mess.

Yesterday I had a telephone appointment with a GP for a referral for a medicine review for Lisdexamphetamine meds. I haven’t had one since Dec 2023. GP didn’t want to prescribe meds I have been on for 7 years, but I advocated for myself. Getting my meds tomorrow.

It is actually significantly under-diagnosed. Has been for decades. This study shows how under-diagnosed in adults.

Very limited (if any) outreach done since - not just on the specifics, but to address the really widespread anger and frustration that spilled out indirectly with the welfare rebellion
