the way we run it is basically if you lose within the first two rounds of losers you can optionally check in to play underground bracket against the other team out in lb r1/r2, it's a good option for lower level teams to get more experience while playing open level tournies

yeah it's roughly the same idea

there rly isn't any downside i've experienced yet from adding an optional bracket for early eliminated teams

after adding underground bracket to crobattle i realize this is easy af takes like a little extra TOing time and brings in more teams that i've never seen play my event before. so far at least 4 or so teams have used it each time and i've seen a few of those bo5s go to game 5.
