This is primarily because since I was a kid, I was never able to sleep through horror films or even commercials because the music stings gave me anxiety. And after we had remodeled our living room, it was the first movie my mom, my sisters and I watched on the new TV and I fell asleep 45 minutes in

Generally speaking, when I rank a film I'm judging it based on the theater experience I had watching it if I saw it in theaters.
That said, I've never cared for the Insidious franchise because the first Insidious was the movie that convinced me I was becoming jaded with horror films

I had to spend a lot of my time growing up, repressing the parts of me that wanted to be soft, kind, friendly, and helpful and that like cute pastel stuff.
I won't do that anymore.
