That’s inherent in hot-air systems. We have a gas burning furnace and it does the same. It’s the cold air in the ducts that needs to be pushed out before the hot air.

Not just Trump, but also the fascist groups in Europe. Problem is that goes directly against freedom of speech.

28% (2018 survey) of Americans believe the sun rotates around the earth. Your 100million is probably very accurate.

It’s better than only one pair of each animal. But then who considers the Bible a factual book anyways?

11.11.2025 04:47 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Also the book of Genesis specifies that only land dwelling animals should be taken. Therefore insects and invertebrates were probably excluded.
I have seen a study which claims the total number of animals on the ark was 6,744

Not true, the ark took seven pairs of each clean animal and bird and one pair of each unclean animal and bird.

Not really sure what argument you’re making here. Social-democratic and democratic-socialism are two reasonably well defined terms (as much as you can define any economic political movements).
I absolutely prefer social-democratic over democratic-socialism.

Oh, the GOP calls it … who cares what the GOP calls it. It’s social-democratic. Let’s stick to facts and use the correct terms here.

The Scandinavian model is social-democratic capitalism, not democratic-socialist.

If you named any European countries, then you were wrong. Most European countries have a social-democracy. That’s very different than democratic-socialism.

Most Americans have no idea what communism, socialism, democratic-socialism, and social-democracy are.

No, democratic socialism does not work. What works is social-democracy. Please learn the difference

Car salesman tried to sell me a RAM pickup. Me: does it fit a full sheet of plywood? He looked absurdly dumbfounded. Obviously it doesn’t fit. So what’s the point? These things are way too high for comfortable work. I really want one of the older 70/80s pickups; purposeful and much better looking .

You should be worried about socialism. You wouldn’t want socialism anymore than trumpism/fascism. What you want is a social democracy

07.11.2025 00:03 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Most European countries, which including Sweden, are social democracies, not democratic socialist. Where social does not mean socialism/socialist.

This concept enables representation over a wider range of topics. Imagine there’s 100 seats. And there’s an animal rights party. In a direct representative system it’s impossible for that party to get any seats. However in the entire state there are probably enough voters to get them 1 or 2 seats.

06.11.2025 15:52 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

That depends on how the parties fill that in.
In other countries with that concept, the members of the party determine the list of electable candidates. And they’re from all over the state/country. Thus preventing a cluster of representatives.
