I could be wrong but if trying to outflank the far right on its pet issues hasn't worked the countless times it's been tried, then maybe it's not the way forward

Just saying

the idea that only some universities should offer some subjects is a cipher for the idea that only some students should be allowed to take some subjects.

Fantastic two days attending & presenting at #psampg2023 on political media - loads of food for thought from incredibly rich papers, keynotes & discussions. Thank you to everyone who shared their research & to the brilliant organisers who made a huge effort to facilitate a hybrid conference!

V thought-provoking talk by James Naughtie @stirling uni on the state of & challenges to democracy in the UK & the US with a timely reminder that democracy needs to be constantly renegotiated & defended, especially taking into consideration what he calls the "urgency of now".
