When switching from one to multi party system, The rulling party should be formerly dissolved.
CCM had the advantage of all members, assets, org infrastructure, finance etc. It was not a fair starting point.

Tanganyika was an independent country before the union with Zanzibar in 1964. It had it's own Flag and Coat of Arms. Tanganyika is the mainland Tanzania.

We must have an independent, transparent investigation and accountability.

And the US must always support self-determination & a peaceful democratic process.

The US is already involved. A great deal of funding to Tanzania is from US tax payers.

The US can freeze ALL funding to TZ (IMF/WB) until TZ has either an interim gov clear of any CCM flees, or when there is a legitimately elected government.
