To keep my head warm I wear a MIPS rated ski/snowboard helmet with a thin headband, buff and if it’s really cold (0-15/20°F) and/or windy I add ski goggles for my eyes.

It's a genuine mid-1600s wool felt hat, an astonishing survival which is reputed to have belonged to Oliver Cromwell. As nobody stitched his name inside we can't prove the last bit for sure... 😉

I finished the Isleburgh Toorie hat for Finnin today. It was designed by the Doull Family for 2024 Shetland Wool Week. I knit it using Jamieson and Smith Shetland wool yarn.
