Our biggest job of the summer is shelving! We try our best to not disturb the quiet of the library during the year so in the summer we move the books and shelves around and have everything back to normal by September.

On October 8th 2013 MIC Thurles (then St. Pats.) Student Library was renamed in honour of our former Librarian Fr. Christy O’Dwyer. He spent 32 years with St. Pats, 19 of these as Librarian and it was only fitting that we named our Library after him and kept his legacy going.
