A vessel in the shape of what I'd call a dragon it's black and white and it looks to me like a creature with Hotel sitting up on its hind legs it's kind of mouth with fangs and sort of two little horns coming up just above the mouth it's black with white details it's quite an odd looking critter at the top it has what's called a stirrup spout where there are two tubes coming up from the body of the vessel and then at the at those Arc up and at the top of the Ark there is a third tube that goes up a little bit and forms a spout which is where are you poor out from this vessel

Three galaxies in a vertical image. Top one is blue and vertical, and smaller than the other two. The middle galaxy is half-curved around the lower galaxy and by far the largest. It shows streaks of bright pink and darker strings of dust. The lowest galaxy in the scene is a bright blue orb, about one sixth of the size of the middle galaxy above it.

Dust and gas in the Penguin appear as red filaments. The Egg is made of older stars and nearly featureless.

This pair of galaxies fits almost perfectly in one frame from Hubble's ACS. What caught my attention is the one on the lower right, NGC 1375. The X shaped nuclei found in some galaxies interests me. So far, I've only seen them in edgewise galaxies. The effect viewed from face on may be subtle enough that it is very difficult to notice or they could be bar structures I've failed to make the connection to so far. They are also called boxy or peanut-shaped but when imaged with Hubble the X becomes obvious. See this paper for information from actual scientists rather than my own novice observations. I did some extra processing to make the strange nucleus of NGC 1375 more apparent. These galaxies were imaged for Proposal 10911. Red: HST_10911_01_ACS_WFC_F814W_sci Green: Pseudo Blue: HST_10911_01_ACS_WFC_F475W_sci North is NOT up. It is 39.1° counter-clockwise from up.

This is a globular cluster located in the outskirts of the Large Magellanic Cloud. The reason it looks so colorful is because it was imaged in red/near-infrared (the red channel filter overlaps both) and near-ultraviolet. HST is one of the only observatories still in operation capable of ultraviolet observations due to its location above Earth's atmosphere. Astronomers are especially keen to make use of its ultraviolet abilities before the harsh environment of space takes its inevitable toll on the telescope. Yes, the telescope will eventually stop working altogether, but even before that happens, the detectors which pick up ultraviolet light are also quickly losing sensitivity. Globular clusters typically take on an overall muted yellow color in visible spectrum images, but the near-infrared and near-ultraviolet filters are very good at highlighting what might otherwise be subtle differences and the result is a beautifully colorful image. You might also notice the faint red apparitions of galaxies in the background. They are relatively faint in ultraviolet light, so they appear unusually red in this particular image, but their shapes are unmistakably galactic. Little quick doodle of a new uniform idea #startrek

a dynamic action scene featuring the Rathalos, which is a signature creature from the Monster Hunter series.
