Question for Democrats in Congress: What's the difference between a Nazi and someone who funds Nazis?

Yeah, I don't see one either

That erosion has come at the great expense to both church and state. The former has been stripped, by proximity to power, of its message; the other, hijacked to impose the will of the few over the many.

The founders knew what would happen.

I'm pretty sure that Jasmine Crockett just became the first candidate to win over one million votes in a Texas Democratic primary election and lose.

Remind me again what the charges would be if the Marine did this to Sheehy

I've been a TPM regular for nearly 25 years, going back to the run up to the Iraq War. Even then, it was essential reading. Today, with the ongoing collapse of corporate news media, it is NECESSARY reading.

Without small but mighty operations like TPM, we would all be in the dark.

I should probably note that my grandfathers were both born in the 19th century

This sounds exactly like the Russian military being exposed in Ukraine. Coincidence? Maybe!

I've never seen less mutual bloodletting in a tightly contested statewide race in Texas, especially in a Democratic primary. Talarico is going to have a very motivated party behind him.

I guess it was CIA who put his shitty band in the limelight, then.

Sincere apologies to their fans. They just grated on my ear

Really, if the stupid Democrats would just favor everything and oppose nothing, they'd never lose!

In Westlake! Clearly, Travis County is run by crazed socialists.

In my quaint east Fort Worth precinct, I voted today with no wait. Dems were outvoting Republicans 120-18. This is a Dem precinct but I don't think it's ever been quite like THAT

03.03.2026 23:34 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Here in Texas, I agree with you. The bad blood between the Bush wing of the Texas GOP and the MAGA wing is real. If MAGA runs him out, he will be quite motivated to screw them.

Really, with these guys it's now personal, and we know that personal beefs are the most intense.

I wouldn't write off November yet -- if the Texas SD 9 special election was a bellwether, we're looking at a big partisan shift among Hispanic voters. It may be a longshot but I think an upset is possible.

03.03.2026 23:25 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

So, I voted today for Jasmine Crockett. I've got no beef with Talarico, but I trust Jasmine more, and I think the scale of the blue wave coming in November will be enough to put her past the post first against Paxton. When the wind is behind you, go big.

If Talarico gets the nod, I'm great with it
