Currently in the process of updating a Naturalist Guide to the Lizards of Southeast Asia. Now over 1200 species are recognized in Southeast Asia.

I am looking to add some species that have been described in recent years. If you have photos of any of the species below, please get in touch with me.

On 20 September 2024, Pauwels et al. published the description of Cyrtodactylus panitvongi, a new gecko species from a limestone cave in Thailand, in Zootaxa. The species is only known from its type locality. Now, barely seven months later, it's already being offered for sale in Europe.

Quick morning walk with the dog when this armadillo got spooked by a small plane flying over.

It is. So far 109 new lizard species for Southeast Asia, and barely started the revision of the species list.

Started work on the 2nd edition. So far already >100 new species since publication in 2022.

After moving to Brazil, I switched from Observation.org to iNaturalist, and I am slowly starting to add more species to the list. Is anybody else on #iNaturalist?

Settling in nicely in my new location in Southeastern Brazil. Came across these Black-tufted marmosets in the city during our morning walk. No herps yet..
