I hope you aren’t drunk and took your staff’s advice, Rashida and I don’t know this man and feel confident he didn’t care about us. Please restrain from drinking too much as you have been warned from your staff and stay off social media when you are drunk. I pray in his holy month you find peace and respect for your self,

Very clear that for Starmer, 'sectarian voting' is when British Muslims don't vote Labour, and for many others, it is just when British Muslims vote.

That's because Labour (at the cabinet/election strategists level) is misogynistic and racist.

Yeah, having now slept on it properly, it is weird that no losing parties statement really reckons with why people might have chosen the Greens and instead they all chose to blame sectarianism. It does suggest that they still don't really recognise people who vote Green as, you know, real people.

Plans to make refugee a status of perpetual limbo will do nothing to stop people who need help seeking it nor make it possible for them to rebuild their lives and contribute. I call for humane and effective asylum reforms because I am true Labour, not blue Labour. www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...

No, I think it's very pointedly racist in a way that Labour have dug themselves into patterns around. Between aligning with Reform on migration rhetoric, and trying to justify supplying arms to the Israeli govt, they are so used to using coded islamophobia they don't even notice themselves doing it.

the Greens keep saying the kinds of things that people who vote Labour agree with and Labour keep calling it dangerous extremism, and I’m not sure you could plan a better voter alienation strategy

So, now that he’s had time to think about it, how do we think Kier Starmer feels about telling people who don’t like his changes to the Labour Party to leave? Because, once more he got what he wanted

Labour’s *majority* in Gorton and Denton in 2024 – just 19 months ago – was 13,000+. Tonight it got fewer than 10,000 votes total, on an almost identical turnout. In its heartland. That’s what a collapse of your core vote looks like.

Labour's swing toward racism is perhaps the biggest unforced error in British political history; burnt their base to ashes and won them not a single vote on the right.

They won't start with banning birth control. First they'll lie about it. Then dictate who can prescribe it, use it, fund it, in what forms, and for how long. Suddenly, your doctor won't call you back. I know this is what they'll do because it's what they're doing to transgender healthcare right now.

A genuine error by Labour is that this argument is essentially the same as that made by Shabana Mahmoud to justify her own extreme immigration policies. It's legitimising barbarism.

I’ve never seen “freedom of conscience” deployed in defense of trans lives, rather than as a pretense for our elimination. At first I was startled reading this but this is honestly a necessary strategy right now.

Hackers Expose Age-Verification Software Powering Surveillance Web Three hacktivists tried to find a workaround to Discord’s age-verification software. Instead, they found its frontend exposed to the open internet.

Oops. Turns out Persona, Discord’s age-verification service, was secretly screening selfies against government watchlists AND accessible by the feds. It's backed by Peter Thiel.

It's right to attack RFK/trump for this, but the UK government is doing the same for political reasons (hate).
