Drew today but won't be posting it since it's bad.
I can do any angle of head besides straight-on, and I can do stuff like yoga poses fine but not basic neutral ones. The easier something should be the worse I am at it. Can never try and start something real unless I fix this, but idk what to do.

Creature practice.
Not final designs, particularly Janine, but some groundwork for how I want the species to have different vibes.

Finding it very hard to force myself to draw. Lots of thoughts right now, too many for just a post or 2, all of them bad. No income, hope's on empty, near apathetic.

Read WoW: War of the Scaleborn. Haven't read a WoW book in quite a while.
New author for the series, I hope they do more. One of the better attempts at a grey story from Blizz in a long time, the writers there usually have no idea how to do them but she did well.

Poses were a suggestion from someone. Wasn't expecting them to go well but it all went alright. Need to figure out why I can't do basic poses, but this stuff is fine.

Head adds too much time so she's a dullahan in most of them.
Remembered that I'm very bad at doing really basic poses like the top middle one. This isn't new, I just forgot. Kind of explains my troubles yesterday. When I do varied poses or stuff at angles I tend to be way better. Weird.

Wanted to see if I could do better than the last one.
In terms of the lower half, I don't do these rear shots enough, but I've found that I've gotten better at the front. Might take a day or 2 and just draw her from behind to figure something out.

I expect to be dead before that ever happens.

Literally nothing went well. I redrew the entire body because the first go was even worse, but still couldn't get it. Nothing to learn from since I don't know why it went poorly.
Planned to do 2 or 3 simple drawings today but I'm too annoyed to do more. Complete waste of a day.

I guess it's set to follows only as default. I opened it.

Been playing around with the new line style I've been doing. Lineart phase is MUCH quicker, but if I have to make a pose from scratch the sketch itself still takes forever. Don't know how to speed that part up. It's like 1hr for just that.
Faces are still luck based, too. Always the worst part.

Under 2hrs for a colored drawing, which is extremely fast for me. Gonna keep playing around with this line style.
Hasn't been a problem yet, but I'm skimping out on the sketching phase a lot. Can only use this style for simpler things (For now).

Tried a few new things. Very basic sketched, and used thicker lineart with little weight differences. Simpler overall, and very quick. Looks surprisingly good.
I want to have my more serious looking stuff while also being able to do lighter stuff like this quicker.

Creature practice. Surprised how much I like doing these, though I'm aware it's because I can see a level of improvement rather than actual enjoyment. Same feeling as when I make a noticeable jump on my other stuff, so it won't last.

Back to back days where the faces doubled my drawing time. Turned out ok overall, though I had to go back and change several things with Hanna which added even more time.

Each one took somewhere between 2-3hrs. The faces took up at least half that on each of them, so I had to put off trying to fix other stuff. Very annoying. I can feel some level on improvement on most aspects, but faces still just feel like luck.

Initial draft of her phoenix form. Same mentality as the wyvern one, try the head and figure out the rest some other time. Kind of surprised that I can get these looking close to how I want considering I never draw creatures.

First go at her natural form. I think the head is the hardest part to get right so I went mostly for that. I like it, but I might want to change its shape a bit because it looks too dragony. Make it a bit shorter+wider instead of long.
Might just not matter either.

It's hard to find refs for humanoids with legs like this. I immediately think of stuff like the Draenei in WoW but even in that their sprinting animations are weird. Large theropods feels like the best bet, but then I don't know how to do the upper half. Trial and error.

Finally finished Code Vein.
Really enjoyed it, though I got distracted with Total Warhammer 3 so it took longer than it should've. I don't have a lot of interest in the sequel that just came out since I don't like open world games all that much. Maybe someday.

A lot happening atm so didn't draw much.
Been thinking about how my girls look in motion. Used large theropod reconstructions as ref for this. I'm not sure how much her arms should swing while running.
Still need to draw her natural form, that might give me more of an idea.

Went down to the town museum. Lived here my whole life but it was my first time going to it. It had a big wall full of local native artifacts and history. Also has a reconstructed pioneer era town but I didn't go that far this time.
