FATE is interested in sociotechnical approaches to AI evaluation/measurement; challenges of responsible AI in industry practice; AI law & policy; AI transparency; human-AI interaction; AI & critical thought; and other topics that address AI’s social impacts.

We welcome applicants with backgrounds in technical fields (e.g., ML, AI, NLP, computer vision, statistics) and sociotechnical fields (e.g., human-computer interaction, information science, law, media studies, philosophy, science and technology studies, sociology).
