Snickerdoodles recipe 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup white sugar 1/4 cup light brown sugar 1/4 cup dark brown sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 3/4c all purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon white sugar Preheat oven to 400° F Cream butter, sugars, shortening, , add eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour, baking powder, and salt. Shape into rounded balls. Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a bowl. Roll the balls of dough into mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased or parchment on cookie sheet. Flatten gently with bottom of cup until ~3/4" thick. Bake 8-10 minutes until edges are just turning golden and centers are just set.
