01.10.2025 08:46 β π 18 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I live in Beckenham, a leafy suburb of south east London, a place where David Bowie lived for several years.
Beckenham doesnβt have any decent kebab shops. I put this down to the fact that no one has yet had the vision to open one called βWe Could Be Gyrosβ.
Great news, everyone. Iβm playing GIGANTIC Bristol again. It was fantastic last time. Tickets go on sale at 7pm TONIGHT! No presale!

If you read via a kindle /kindle app this is well worth 99p if you have a passing interest in Oasis or the Manchester music scene of that era.
Cheers - Best festival I've been to in years, did 40,000 steps in day and saw reasonable amounts from 11 bands out of 17.

John McKayβs Reactor: The Lexington, London β Live review
'After close on half a century in the shadows, gothβs lost guitar hero John McKay is back. We join the tomb army assembled to pay their respects to Banshee guitar genius.' louderthanwar.com/john-mckays-... via @louderthanwar
Did you pay to get in back then, or did you get in when the band opened the fire exits! Might have only been a one off occasion to be fair.

23.06.2025 13:42 β π 8 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0Jesus and Mary Chain lost a lot of their set due to the delays and apologised that it was out of their control. They never apologised in 1985 when they ripped people off with 20 minute sets! I didn't see a duff band all day to be honest.. Lets hope we get another one in 2026 (probably not)
23.06.2025 08:48 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Kraftwerk were disappointing on the daylight, so I caught some Death Cult instead and then Kraftwerk were great after dark.
PiL did Open Up and Word Destruction, actually non - PiL songs. The Happy Mondays held it together OK for the bit I saw.
The second stage had sound issues that caused delays.
Forever Now Festival yesterday - a very enjoyable day out at MK Bowl, nice weather, a very friendly crowd & never a problem with drinks / toilets. Reality is that it hadn't sold well, so otherwise it might not have been so nice.
Johnny Marr doing Smiths songs & then joining The The was a highlight
