They typically build up intensity over time unless I curb them quickly but can be sudden as well. OCD is different for everyone who experiences it.

Mine is primarily just intrusive thoughts with few compulsions nowadays but it used to be more compulsion based. I’ve been treated for it for the last 5 years to help me continue to have it under control outside of flares that happen every so often. It’ll always be a day to day problem though.

I do have tics yeah! Not sure if they are part of the OCD though since OCD doesn’t cause tics as part of the disorder and the tics aren’t diagnosed for me- I’d talk to a doctor about looking into tic disorders specifically as they can be co morbid with OCD if they are extremely bothersome for you.
