Oh absolutely. With his body of work, they cant all be zingers. I do find I enjoyed more than I didn't, though.

Ive read a few Barker books and they have been a mixed bag. I loved Coldheart Canyon and The Scarlet Gospels. There are a few stories in Books of Blood that are really impactful too.
