The U.S. Department of Defense's fiscal year 2025 budget request was approximately $849.8 billion
Just imagine what positive things we could do with that money..
Please stop using my tax dollars to kill US citizens.
How about you use my tax dollars to help with these more important issues, without guns:
Inflation.
Affordability of health care.
Education.
Climate.
Unemployment.
Cost of living.
Affordable housing.
Access to clean water.
Access to healthy food.
Still haven't washed the window on the passenger side of my car because it's covered with my dogs nose prints. I miss him, but his nose prints are still there to remind me he was the best co-pilot ever. I kept some fur from brushing him and keep in it a bad so I can smell him when I'm really lonely

It was challenging to manage the data and really hard to print(crash).. it, I cut the image into pages to keep the 1:1 printer resolution of 2400 dpi and printed out the whole set and made a poster of it and hung it on the wall at work to give people something interesting to look at in the hallway.
13.01.2026 23:45 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I really like fractals and the mandelbrot set.
This image took ~60 days to render on 4 dual core computers (2009 ish).
The final image is 74,180x96,000 (7.1gigpixel) 30" x 40" printed at 2400dpi
I used ultra fractal do do the calculations since it supported the ability to farm.
- look at current networking technology and data layers we have to do a lot of check summing just to say a packet of data is the same on both ends of the wire. add malicious actors trying to manipulate that waveform vector in a way that bypasses your encryption and reads and injects on the wire.
13.01.2026 23:29 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0could be made from any existing set and you could lock it and say it is true to some date. then in the future you could record the changes to that book as it travels through new chains, and possibly create new quorum with future data if you meet more books from your original chain.
you asked.. =P
would stay up to date, but it would a condensed version like wikipedia *but* every bit of information in it would have been verified and exist on a block chain reference for the citation chain. So you could possibly say so some point in time if the maintaining network was destroyed a new one
13.01.2026 23:24 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0block chains take a crap load of compute to maintain and seem unreliable to me if you lose the internet. I think something that is more like "the book of truth" and is always being updated and maintained and widely distributed could work. While the maintaining network is viable your local copy..
13.01.2026 23:24 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I've been mulling over some kind of data store like wikipedia but is more grounded in verifiable source information, sure there is a page in wikipedia, and it cites some source, how can you make it so you can easily follow that chain and verify. And I think this is what blockchains are trying to fix
13.01.2026 23:24 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The issue of truth still remains. But if you can record some chunk of data well enough, you could possibly as a third party say empirically that the data is "true". If you can solve that problem, and make it accessible (there is only 1 TSMC) then the networking part is easy.
13.01.2026 23:24 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0but like the Egyptians(i'm getting way off topic.. whatever)we are carving patterns into rocks.. just a 2nm. If we can design patterns that can heal themselves with input energy(heat/solar/chemical) then there there is the possibility of long term networks that are self healing and maintain conn
13.01.2026 23:24 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0How can your smaller network exist symbiotically with an existing network in a way the maintains the "truth" of the smaller network will allowing communication with a larger network. The Egyptians did a pretty good job, they are still talking to us today, that can't be said for a lot of others.
13.01.2026 23:24 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I think maybe some kind of system that works like poly market and shows how the "market" feels about some "data" so you could establish quorum on some data and the trustworthiness of that assumption. you still have the issues of critical mass.
small networks are always at risk from larger networks
so to be honest I've not explored much in the quantum crypto space, the concept is sound, but there are more foundational issues, just creating a robust network infrastructure over the existing internet is hard enough without even considering security or what is real or true or verifiable.
