Absolutely bang on by @jonathanliew.bsky.social

The Mail calls out racism on its back page, while promoting unsubstantiated, outright racism on its front page.

JIm Ratcliffe is a scumbag. More than that he's a hypocrite. And dangerous. Words.

Me this morning: Carrick is a sensible short-term option to bring some much-needed stability to the end of the season. Offering him the job permanently would be a clear step too far.

Me now:

Aah, I bet you have an amazing collection!

If I could spend all my time searching for 80s shirts, I’d be very happy indeed. I admit, happening across this one was *a moment*

PSG were an irrelevance in European football until a state-backed project transformed them into a symbol of modern football’s moral drift - soft power, sportswashing, and influence beyond the pitch. Good as they are, success built on that model leaves a bitter taste.

There was a reason lots of us protested then. Some of us gave up our season tickets. A new club was set up, for goodness sake.

The protests are not new. But sometimes, from the narrative that’s told, you’d think they were.

Would be nice to hear more media narrative about the fact that 20 years ago, United were plundered solely in order to benefit one already incredibly wealthy family.

We knew then it would be a disaster; we just didn’t know how long it would take.

Utterly shameful that it was allowed to happen.

Heartbreak and Recriminations No Question About That - a Manchester United podcast Β· Episode

Thank you to @nqatpod.bsky.social for the excellent discussion about the impact of cutting staff on organisations (around 40m in) ie cutting isn’t always commercially sensible. This is in the context of a football club, but it’s important listening for all of us.
