The movie sounds rotten: the prison Christianity turnaround of Watergate co-conspirator Chuck Colson. It's by Avco Embassy, so it's cheap, and stars Dean Jones, so cheap AND painful. But, hey, they got Les Baxter to do some disco tracks!

Random record store find: I have a LOT of Les Baxter albums, dozens & dozens, so I'll always pick up one I don't already have. Today that was his very last soundtrack LP, Born Again from 1978, and I was expecting the worst but it's kind of great! It has random snippets of dialogue and genre hopping!

I have the Condi Rice doll (obviously), and it looks exactly like Mike Tyson in drag:

It's all definitely in the design-decor hypebeast sphere.

Condi's "business" is very kush. She sits on boards; she has a nice office at Stanford. Above all, she makes BANK on the lecture and consultation circuit, getting paid five figures to give 10 minute boilerplate speeches to corporate gatherings. She is coasting lucratively.

A lot of people are talking about Condi's visit to the White House. I'll note that she has studiously avoided talking about Trump since his first admin. I can't see her getting involved with him in any official manner because she knows it would be bad for her business. (1 of 2)
