Safer Nuclear Reactors Are on the Way
Resilient fuels and innovative reactors could enable a resurgence of nuclear power
My unpopular opinion: we should invest heavily in nuclear energy if we are serious about controlling climate change. Renewables and conservation are great, but won’t be enough. Open Yucca mountain and make tons of EV’s powered by 4th gen nuclear plants. www.scientificamerican.com/article/safe...

What does it mean to be masculine? As a man and father of three, I strive to model being a man in a positive way. I try to be strong, grounded, a problem solver, and to be a rock for my family. I let my kids make mistakes and learn life lessons. They learn from me that it is a gift to work hard.

As a Chicagoan, I am horrified by the Trump administration’s looming efforts at mass deportation. Separating families and disregarding basic human rights is downright un-American. DACA recipients especially should not be targeted. Obama’s policies were not perfect, but did model humane enforcement.

Trump’s meme coins make me angry. Just like Bitcoin and other crypto, I have a hard time seeing what value they contribute to society. Some “investors” get lucky and make money, but this is on the backs of those who won’t get out before the bubble inevitably bursts. It’s just glorified gambling.

Thanks for sharing! It blows my mind how they made this. Gotta wonder how much of it is fancy editing and how much was careful cinematography. Their videos never disappoint!

I’m glad to be on Bluesky! Thinking a lot about the TikTok ban today. Never a user since it seems to be designed to hook folks with an algorithm rather than inform and empower. Hoping Bluesky will do those things well!
